One choice can transform you - or it can destroy you. Tris Prior's initiation day should have been marked by celebration; instead it ended with unspeakable horrors. Now unrest surges in the factions around her as conflict between their ideologies grows.

In times of war sides must be chosen and secrets will emerge. Tris has already paid a terrible price for survival and is wracked by haunting guilt. But radical new discoveries and shifting relationships mean that she must fully embrace her Divergence - even though she stands to lose everything...

Divergent was good but make way for Insurgent, talk about ‘Shock Alert’. I must admit divergent is a better title than Insurgent. But, never let the title prevent you from reading the book, and that goes for any book.
Insurgent was so up and down and I don’t mean bad and good I mean with the amount of action and surprises. It will have you on the edge of your seat. It begins where divergent ended. Everyone within the city is trying to cope with the aftermaths of their actions. They are having to come face to face with the next part of their journey. You will not be disappointed of what comes next. There is a lot of danger and hard choices to make. It is thrilling from beginning to end.

I loved the relationship between Tris and Four in this book; however I do think Beatrice and Tobias sounds so much better. Their relationship is tested to it's limits with the secrets they hide from one another and the battles they face apart. But, no matter what they face and the further they seem from each other, you can always see how much they care and mean to each other. They would do anything to protect one another. Could this mean they even love each other?

Tris and Four change so much in character. The shy quiet girl we knew Tris for in Divergent develops into a secretive, heroine who battles through everything and anything to protect the people she loves and cares about. Tris also has her parents on her mind through every decision she makes, she wants them to be proud of her.

Oh, Tobias, the holy word of all that is drop dead sexy. He has captivated me with his secretive, loving side he shows strongly to Tris and how he calls her, on her recklessness’s and never gives up on her. I love them both as individual characters. But together they could take over the world. I absolutely adore them as a couple; they have such passion and drive for one another.

Tris and Four are not the only characters that change so much. Character's you thought you knew will completely surprise you with the paths and actions they take. Some for good and some for the worst. You will never see it coming.

I absolutely loved this book from the minute I started reading it. I just couldn't put it down. Insurgent was an Epic continuous of Divergent. It answered so many questions I had in mind after finishing Divergent. But the ending I never saw coming. It just blew the door wide open for a massive question I have. Words cannot describe how good Insurgent is, I can’t wait to read Allegiant. How will it all end.
